The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital aims to develop well-rounded, skilled, compassionate, and ethical orthopaedic surgeons. Curriculum

The residency encompasses a comprehensive 60-month training schedule that guarantees a diverse learning experience:

Year One

• Orthopedic Surgery: 6 rotations
• Emergency Medicine: 1 rotation
• Musculoskeletal Imaging: 1 rotation
• Surgical Intensive Care Unit: 2 rotations
• Vascular Surgery: 1 rotation
• Spine: 1 rotation
• Anesthesiology: 2 weeks
• Rheumatology: 2 weeks

Year Two

Residents engage in eight months of rotations with assigned Orthopedic Attendings, research opportunities, and completion of mandatory courses.

Year Three to Year Five

Responsibilities and independence increase progressively, culminating in performing complex procedures and leadership in clinical settings.
