Independent Clinical Fellowship in Neurocritical Care
Accredited by the Committee of Advanced Subspecialty Training, the Department of Neurosurgery at North Shore University Hospital offers a one-year fellowship under the direction of Jamie Ullman, MD, program director.
The independent clinical fellowship in neurocritical care (CAST accredited) at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center has been designed to educate neurosurgical fellows in the care of complex and diverse critically ill patients with primary or secondary neurologic injury, with a strong focus on neurotrauma. Clinical experience will be gained at North Shore University Hospital and at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in the pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. The program additionally offers residents the opportunity to apply for enfolded fellowship training.
