Family Medicine Residency

To be eligible for this open position you must have the following criteria met:

• Completed 1 full year of PGY1 (12.0 months credit) from an ACGME Family Medicine accredited program within the US.
• You will need to sign a waiver releasing your FM Milestones/CCC Reviews
• ABFM ITE Score Report
• Completed PGY1 rotations, evaluations, and continuity clinic data (number of patients seen, etc.) from your previous training program to our program.
• A letter from your former program director
• Passed your USMLE/COMLEX Step 3 board exam
• Unofficial transcripts must be provided.
• Current CV/Resume
• At least two letters of recommendation, preferably recent letters and/or letters from program faculty that you worked with during your PGY1 residency.
• Copy of your MSPE from your medical school (if available).
• Unofficial medical school transcripts.
• Copy of your ERAS application (if available).

Additionally, all applicants must meet our basic criteria for employment:

• Successfully pass a ten-year criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• All candidates must qualify for a resident medical license through the Iowa Board of Medical Examiners.
• Candidates that graduated from a medical school outside of the United States or Canada, must have a complete, valid ECFMG certificate.
• Currently, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship. All international medical graduates applying must be US citizens or permanent residents to be considered.
