General Surgery Residency-Categorical PGY-3 Position

The General Surgery Residency Program at Main Line Health System – Lankenau Medical Center is seeking to fill a categorical PGY-3 position with a start date of July 1, 2025.

Lankenau Medical Center’s Surgical Residency Program prides itself in educating future surgical leaders as a “hybrid” program, a synthesis of the best aspects of academic surgery set in the wonderful culture of a busy teaching community hospital. Our residents benefit from the finest academic training and are exposed to significant volumes of both open, laparoscopic and robotic general surgery performed by well-trained busy clinicians.

Our surgical residency program presents a wonderful opportunity for the young surgeon to develop under the guidance of an engaged faculty and it carries a record of having placed its graduates into competitive academic post graduate fellowships for more than twenty years.

Our General Surgery Residency Program at Lankenau Medical Center is one of four acute care hospitals which comprise the Main Line Health System in the “Main Line” suburb of Philadelphia. We have integrated and affiliated training sites to include specialized rotations in Pediatric Surgery and Trauma Surgery at the following sites: University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.
