Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship

The Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship is a 12-month, accredited program designed to integrate primary care continuity clinic days, protected didactic training and subspecialty clinic rotations for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNP) in their first year of professional practice. PNP fellows have dedicated pediatric primary care mentor, who facilitate the transition to independent practice through support, knowledge and sharing.

Accredited in 2024 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) through the Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Accreditation (APPFA) Program, this fellowship ensures high standards of clinical and educational excellence.

Postgraduate training programs for Advanced Practice Nurses are growing. The intent of the fellowship is to provide a year-long, postgraduate training experience that allows for protected learning time, exposure to pediatric subspecialties and experience in a primary care continuity clinic. Through the program year, the successful fellow will increase their confidence and efficiency in primary care delivery.
