Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Upstate Medical University hereby announces an opening for a Postgraduate Year Two (PGY-2) Categorical Resident position for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position is within our fully accredited four-year Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program.
Prerequisites:
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be in good academic and professional standing at an ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Categorical Residency Program and must have successfully completed one year (12 months) of training by June 30th, 2025.

- USMLE/COMLEX Scores Reports
- (Step 1 & 2 or COMLEX I & II, Required. Step 3 or COMLEX III, if available)
- In-Service Training Exam Scores [CREOG] (from current program for PGY-1 year)
- Previous ERAS application
- Cover letter to include reason for departure from current program
- Letter of Good Standing from your Program Director
- Statement willing to release you from your current training contract
- List of Completed Rotations to Date. (On Letterhead from your Program Director)
- Most recent mid-year or summative evaluation form
- Most recent Milestone Evaluations from Current Residency Program for 2024-2025 academic year
- At least one letter of recommendation from current supervising faculty member [other than program director]
- Current CV
- Copy of Medical School Diploma
- Up to date ACGME Procedure Logs from Current Program
- Current work authorization i.e. Citizen, permanent resident, work permit or asylee
Please note: SUNY Upstate OBGYN Residency does not sponsor J1 or H1B visas.
Residents should send all required documentation as soon as possible, as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Applications will only be reviewed once all required documents have been received.
