Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Residency
Broward Health is pleased to announce an opening for a PGY-1 position in our newly ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Residency Program, commencing on July 1, 2025. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of the inaugural class in a dynamic and comprehensive training environment.
The Otolaryngology Residency at Broward Health is a five-year, ACGME-accredited program designed to provide residents with extensive clinical and surgical experience. Training is centered at Broward Health North Medical Center, a tertiary referral hospital, with rotations across affiliated community and academic sites to ensure a well-rounded exposure to diverse patient populations and pathologies.
The Broward Health Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Residency Program, based in South Florida, proudly received ACGME accreditation in 2025, marking the launch of the first post-graduate training program in otolaryngology within the Broward Health system.
This milestone represents a significant step forward for the institution and the region, as it brings advanced surgical education and subspecialty care to one of Florida’s largest and most diverse public healthcare systems. The program is centered at North Broward Medical Center. This tertiary referral hospital is a hub for complex surgical care and includes rotations across affiliated community and academic sites to provide a robust and well-rounded training experience.
Although newly accredited, the faculty leading the residency brings decades of combined experience in academic training, surgical innovation, and mentorship from leading institutions nationwide. Their shared commitment to excellence in education and patient care forms the foundation of a program designed to cultivate future leaders in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
