Neurosurgery Epilepsy Fellowship

The program affords the opportunity for an in-folded or post-graduate neurosurgical resident to gain comprehensive focused training in the medical and surgical management of patients suffering from seizure disorders. The surgical epilepsy fellow works closely with our neurosurgical faculty to master all of the surgical techniques relating to the treatment of patients with epilepsy.

With an annual epilepsy case volume of more than 150 surgical cases (and growing), our program provides a breadth of surgical opportunities and encompasses three facilities providing service to patients of all socioeconomic backgrounds. The fellow also will run a surgical epilepsy clinic in conjunction with our epileptologists, and have dedicated OR time at Los Angeles General Medical Center to manage his/her operative caseload.
