Hematology Research Fellowship

The Mondello lab is looking for a post-doctoral research fellow with prior wet lab experience for 2-3 years in relevant biomedical field (e.g., molecular biology, immunology and/or genomics).

The research focus of the Mondello lab is epigenetic dysregulations in B cell malignancy and their impact on the tumor microenvironment. By combining genomic, epigenomic and transcriptomic profiling approaches of patient samples and lymphoma cells lines together with genetically modified mouse models, the lab will identify and functionally characterize recurrent genetic lesions affecting chromatin modifiers and transcription factors, determine the role of these alterations in modulating the tumor-immune crosstalk and ultimately use this information to develop specific and potent therapeutic strategies.

The expectation is the applicant will execute bench work, including but not limited to viral transfection, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, western blotting of primary and lymphoma cell line, as well as mouse work, including but not limited to immunization, transplant, genotyping and mouse colony maintenance.

Prerequisites:

Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
