Nutrition and Metabolism Fellowship
Established in 2016, our two-year fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism offers a challenging curriculum, diverse clinical experiences and plentiful opportunities for research that prepares graduates for clinical or academic practice in endocrinology.
The overall objective of our program is for fellows to have clinical experiences that allow for the in-depth observation and management of patients with metabolic conditions that contribute to cardiovascular disease and other complications. Fellows will have clinical and non-clinical experiences that will expose them to areas of expertise that significantly affect the care of patients with metabolic disorders. Scholarship in the field of cardiometabolic health is required.
Prerequisites:
Canditates must have completed an internal medicine or family medicine residency from:
- An ACGME-accredited residency program, or
- An AOA-approved residency program, or
- A program with ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accreditation, or
- A Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited program, or
- A College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited residency program located in Canada.

Application submissions should include:
- A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s current program director
- Recommendation letters from at least two faculty members
- A personal statement
- ECFMC certification, if applicable
- Copy of USMLE scores and/or COMLEX Scores
- Most current curriculum vitae
