Oncology Pharmacy Residency

The PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland (MHMMCP) is a 12-month, advanced training program designed to transition PGY1 pharmacy practice residency graduates from general practice to specialized practice focused on the care of patients with cancer.

The program has an emphasis on supportive care, antineoplastic pharmacology, management of malignant and hematological disorders, investigational cancer therapies, and antineoplastic toxicity management.

Prerequisites:

  • PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy received before start date of residency
  • Eligible for Maine Pharmacist licensure
  • Virtual interview required

  • Three letters of recommendation submitted online via PhORCAS from any of the following: college faculty, rotation preceptors, or employers
  • Official copy of pharmacy school transcripts only
  • Successful completion of PGY1 required for PGY2 program
