Hematopathology Fellowship
Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers two ACGME approved one-year fellowship positions in hematopathology each year. As a major academic tertiary care hospital in New York City, we provide resources and materials in all aspects of hematopathology with a mix of adult and pediatric bone marrow and lymph node biopsies, as well as consultation from surgical pathology service.
Each year, we receive approximately 800-1000 bone marrow biopsies, 800-1000 lymph node biopsies, and approximately 6000 flow cytometry specimens for immunophenotyping. Our program is enhanced by strong benign hematology, coagulation and cytogenetics/molecular services. Our faculty members are dedicated to teaching and are well known for their highly personal, one-on-one teaching approach. Graduating fellows are fully prepared for a career in either an academic or private practice setting.
