Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Houston Methodist Hospital is currently accepting applications for a PGY-2 resident position to begin July 1, 2026.
Prerequisites:
Eligible applicants must currently be in good standing at an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency program. Successful completion of 12 months of training in OBGYN by June 30, 2026 is a requirement to apply.

Cover letter including reason for leaving your current program and interest in continuing your training at Houston Methodist Hospital (Med Ctr) Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program
- Current CV
- Copy of medical school diploma
- Residency CAS/ERAS application (personal statement and MSPE must be included)
- USMLE Step 1& 2 scores, Step 3 score (if applicable) or COMLEX equivalent
- CREOG score for PGY-1 year (if available at time of application submission)
- Up to date ACGME Case Logs
- PGY1 Clinical rotation schedule
- A letter from your Program Director that includes the following:
- Statement of your standing in the program
- List of PGY1 clinical rotations completed
- Willingness of your Program Director to communicate with Houston Methodist
- Most recent ACGME Milestone evaluation
- A letter of recommendation from an attending physician in your current program
