Family Medicine Residency

The Department of Family Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center offers a fully accredited AOA Family Medicine Residency Training Program. We welcome your interest in joining our seasoned faculty in the journey that prepares a new graduate for the successful practice of Family Medicine. The department ensures the availability of an educational environment that fosters academic prosperity in a culturally diverse setting.

Our 36-month curriculum is designed to prepare the trainee for a successful career in the practice of family medicine in today’s challenging primary care environment. Our program is designed to fully equip our residents for the many options open to family medicine physicians. While the program follows the curricular standards set forth by the American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine and the AOA, it allows the flexibility necessary for the development of individual interests in the wide spectrum of the scope of practice that is family medicine.
