Abdominal Imaging Fellowship
NYU Grossman School of Medicine offers seven positions annually in a one-year Abdominal Imaging Fellowship program. Fellows learn how to perform and interpret abdominal imaging examinations with a heavy concentration on MRI. The goal of the program is to train radiologists to become experts in abdominal imaging and to prepare them to assume leadership roles in radiology.
As an abdominal imaging fellow, you receive training on the most up-to-date imaging equipment available and learn innovative imaging techniques, including functional imaging with diffusion weighted images, perfusion imaging, radial imaging, and compressed sensing.
Other imaging techniques you gain experience with include MR angiography (MRA), dynamic pelvic floor imaging, MR elastography, MR enterography, liver iron and fat quantification, and 3-Tesla (3T) MRI for prostate imaging. Performing abdominal imaging research is an integral and required component of this training program.
