Acute Care Surgery Fellowship
General Surgery/Acute Care Surgery Fellowship at Queens Hospital in Jamaica, New York has 3 open positions available starting 6/23/25.
You will function as a senior resident and run our surgical service both in and out of the operating room along with 5 house officers and 17 surgical PA’s. You will sit for the 2026 ABSITE exam in January 2026. You will be mentored.
The goal of this fellowship is to get you back into a residency program and finish your General Surgery training. I will also consider hiring a General Surgeon who has failed his/her written or oral board exams multiple times and needs an additional year of Surgical training in order to get their board eligibility reinstated.
Prerequisites:
Completion of 3 years (PGY1-3) General Surgery residency training at an ACGME program. (This is a Queens Hospital medical board requirement for privileges).

- Ability to obtain a NY State medical license or limited permit.
- We do not sponsor J-1 visas(our program is not accredited by the ECFMG).
