Adolescent Medicine Fellowship
The University of Illinois at Chicago is currently accepting applications for a Year 1 Fellow in its Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program. This is a three-year fellowship. The application will remain open until the position is filled.
This is a 3 year ACGME approved fellowship that includes an opportunity for Masters of Public Health (MPH) opportunities for research in adolescent depression, HIV in adolescents and young adults, and violence prevention, as well as a broad range of clinical experiences including school-based health centers, adolescent psychiatry inpatient, joint med-psych outpatient, eating disorders, juvenile detention clinics, adolescent gynecology, family planning, sports medicine, obesity treatment, trauma and violence prevention.
Prerequisites:
- Applicants for the Adolescent Medicine fellowship must have satisfactorily completed residency training in pediatric in an ACGME approved program.
- Applicants who have graduated from a foreign medical school must have a valid, unexpired ECFMG certificate to enter a program in Graduate Medical Education.
- For interested foreign applicants, the only visa we accept is J-1 visa. Applicants are selected on the basis of commitment to advancing adolescent medicine, a history of demonstrated skill in interpersonal communication during residency, medical knowledge as reflected in residency evaluations and test scores, and prior history of scholarship and advocacy.
