Adult Neurology Residency
An unanticipated opening is available for a PGY-2 position within the Adult Neurology residency program at the University of Maryland for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Prerequisites:
In order to enter as a PGY2 in Adult Neurology, you are required to have completed a year of graduate medical education at an ACGME-accredited residency program that includes:
- 8 months in IM or
- 6 months in IM plus 2 months in a combo of EM/FM/IM/Peds.
- PGY1 years in IM or certain
- Transitional Year experiences will qualify.

Your application should be submitted as 1PDF document that includes the following:
- Cover Sheet
- Current CV (reflective of all education and any current/prior residency positions)
- USMLE Step Scores (unofficial copies fine for now)
- MSPE and Medical School Transcript (unofficial copies fine for now)
- Photo
- Personal Statement
The cover sheet of your application should include the following:
- All demographic details
- Full name, address, email, phone number, and date of birth
- Your work authorization status
- ECFMG # (if applicable)
- Hobbies & Interests

3 Letters of Recommendation are also required. These should be submitted directly from the writer, not by the applicant. If you have prior experience in a residency program, one of these letters should be from your current/former PD.
