Adult Neurology Residency
The Adult Neurology Residency Program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, announces an opening for a Postgraduate Year Two (PGY-2) resident, with a start date of June 24, 2025.
Prerequisites:
Applicants must have successfully completed (or be on track to successfully complete) their Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) in an ACGME-accredited residency program before the program start date.
Individuals from Preliminary, Transitional, and other specialty programs are eligible to apply but must have a minimum of six (6) months of internal medicine clinical experience within their PGY-1 year.

Required Submission documents for Screening:
- A cover letter explaining your interest in Neurology and reasons for transitioning from your current program
- Curriculum Vitae.
- USMLE Scores (Step 1, Step 2, and if applicable Step 3) or COMLEX (level 1, 2 and if applicable 3)
- For Foreign Medical Graduates: ECFMG Certification, visa status.
- Copy of MSPE or Deans letter from your medical school
Required For Eligibility, but not required at initial screening submission
- Medical School Transcript and Diploma.
- Three Letters of Recommendation (1 must be from current or most recent program direct, remaining 2 must be from clinical supervisors. While a letter from a neurologist is preferred, it is not mandatory).
