Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency
The PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency conducted by Mount Sinai Health System, New York NY, is accredited by ASHP. We offer two PGY-2 pharmacy residency positions.
This PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education and PGY1 pharmacy residency program training to contribute to the development of the clinical pharmacist in specialized areas of ambulatory care practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care and other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification in ambulatory care.
Prerequisites:
Candidates must possess a PharmD degree from a school of pharmacy approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE); have completed an ASHP‐accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy or Managed Care Pharmacy residency; and be eligible for licensure in New York State.
