Arthroplasty and Orthopaedic Trauma Research Fellowship
This is a tremendous opportunity for students taking a gap year to strengthen their application for orthopedic surgery residency. Research will primarily focus on outcome collection for arthroplasty and orthopaedic trauma related research.
In addition, the fellows will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing prospective clinical trials within each division. Research fellows will work under the direction of Dr. Michael Charters, Dr. Trevor North, Dr. William Hakeos, Dr. Stuart Guthrie (Program Director), Dr. Joseph Hoegler, and Dr. Lindsay Maier. There is one fellowship position for arthroplasty and one position for orhtopaedic trauma.
Prerequisites:
- Required: US Medical Student (M3) Relocation to Detroit, Michigan or surrounding areas Good academic standing and strong interest in pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery
- Preferred: 3rd year medical students with prior experience in IRB writing, scientific writing, literature review, and/or statistical analysis *You will need proof of eligibility to work in the US.
