Body Imaging Fellowship

We offer a 1-year non-accredited program that will expose you to a broad range of clinical problems. Our faculty, fellows and residents come from all over the U.S. and countries outside, making the Iowa experience a diverse and welcoming experience.

Prerequisites:

In keeping with ACGME/GME guidelines, applicants are required to have completed the USMLE Steps 1 and 2. Step 3 is required for the H-1B visa.

Additionally, an applicant is required to be qualified to obtain a permanent State of Iowa Medical License. The State of Iowa requires 2 years of accredited residency training in the United States in order to qualify for a Permanent Iowa Medical License.

The Body Imaging Fellowship is currently accepting applications for the 2026-27 year.

To apply for the Body Imaging Fellowship, please submit the below:

  1. Completed application that can be e-mailed, mailed or faxed
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Summary of your training background, areas of particular strength and interest, and a brief description of how you would hope to utilize and apply your fellowship training
  4. Three letters of recommendation. Letters should come from those persons familiar with your recent training and current professional activities. Please instruct reference individuals to mail their letters of recommendation directly to the program coordinator, at the address listed below.
  5. Copy of your ECFMG certificate, if applicable
  6. Copies of USMLE steps 1, 2 and 3 transcripts
