Breast & Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship
This ACGME accredited fellowship includes comprehensive training in breast and gynecologic pathology biopsy, in-house resections, professional consults, as well as outside referral cases, including intraoperative gross and frozen sections. Fellows will be trained for twelve months in a selective subspecialty oncologic anatomical pathology, focusing on diagnostic pathology in women’s health.
Roswell Park houses comprehensive, current knowledge and skill in diagnostic breast and gynecologic pathology, including:
- Full range of breast and GYN surgical pathology specimens
- Experienced breast and GYN surgical pathologists
- New technologies, such as: in-situ hybridization, IHC, cytogenetics including FISH and molecular pathology
Elective rotations are flexible and typically include cytology, genitourinary, gastroenterology and dermatopathology. Stipends are commensurate with a postgraduate year of training. Fellows also receive funds for educational resources and professional development.
Prerequisites:
In order to be considered eligible for this fellowship, applicants must:
- Complete your residency training in an ACGME-accredited program (or Canadian equivalent) prior to your fellowship start date.
- Be eligible for a New York State Medical License or Limited Permit.
