Cardiothoracic Surgical Residency-Categorical PGY-2 Position

Yale Cardiothoracic Surgical Residency – Two Categorical PGY-2 Positions to Start June 2025

The Yale Division of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery is seeking to fill two (2) categorical PGY-2 positions beginning June 2025. The anticipated graduation date for candidates selected will depend on the applicant’s current operative case log and successful completion of all residency requirements.

We aim to train future leaders in academic surgery, especially surgeon-scientists, surgeon-educators, and public policy leaders.

Prerequisites:

  • Applicants should be no more than three (3) years out of surgical training.
  • Completion of a PGY-1 year in an ACGME-accredited General Surgery training program is required, with documentation of good standing.
  • U.S. clinical General Surgery training through an ACGME-accredited program is necessary.
