Clinical Research Fellowship
The Chevalier Jackson Esophageal Research Center, part of the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Surgical Institute in Pittsburgh, is offering a fully funded Clinical Research Fellow position in clinical research. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in gastrointestinal or thoracic surgery.
The position provides comprehensive exposure to clinical outcomes research, study design, scientific writing, and esophageal physiology testing. The Research Fellow will work closely with a highly productive team with strong mentorship.
The Chevalier Jackson Center is a highly productive research center, with past fellows having achieved multiple national presentations and publications at prominent scientific meetings. The center is affiliated with Drexel University, offering additional academic collaboration and research opportunities.
Prerequisites:
- Qualified candidates should either be currently in surgical training or have completed medical school with the intention of applying to a surgical residency.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, as visa sponsorship is not available. Prior research experience is desirable but not required.
Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to a two-year position. This role is particularly well suited for individuals with a strong academic interest in gastrointestinal or thoracic surgery who are looking to enhance their research portfolio and gain meaningful clinical research experience prior to residency or fellowship.
Applicants with an interest in gastroenterology will also be considered.
