Fellowship in Advanced Female Pelvic Surgery
The Fellowship in Advanced Female Pelvic Surgery is a one-year educational experience for graduates of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-approved OB/GYN residency who would like additional training in surgical technique and perioperative care. Based at South Shore University and Huntington hospitals, the training program allows the fellow the opportunity to develop his or her laparoscopic, robotic (including single incision), open and vaginal surgical skills.
The fellow actively participates in gynecologic oncology, urogynecology and general gynecology cases. The fellow is also responsible for the inpatient care of our gynecologic oncology service and will be trained in SICU management as well as the management of complex postoperative clinical situations and complications.
Prerequisites:
Completion of ACGME-approved obstetrics and gynecology residency.
