General Surgery Residency
Our Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell General Surgery residency program at North Shore University Hospital/ Long Island Jewish Medical Center is currently recruiting for a PGY 1 preliminary resident.
This position is for 1 year beginning July 1st, 2025* through June 30, 2026 (can be off-cycle dependent on start date).
Prerequisites:
USMLE scores for all applicants must be 220 or higher for both Step 1 and Step 2 CK and a pass score for Step 2 CS. These requirements must be met on the first attempt.

- One of the three must be from your program director, chairman or professor. All letters must be on official letterhead.

- ABSITE score(s), required for each year if you currently participate or have completed any time in a U.S. accredited surgical residency program
- Medical school graduation within the past three years
