General Surgery Residency
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso is seeking a candidate for a preliminary PGY1 position to begin July 1, 2025.
University Medical Center of El Paso, an ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center, is the primary teaching facility for TTUHSC El Paso faculty, residents, and medical students. We are the only Level I Trauma Center in a 270-mile radius of El Paso. Our aim is to train broad-based general surgeons ready for clinical practice or fellowships. Our interns average 100-150 cases/procedures every year.
Prerequisites:
Completion of medical school or graduation by Spring 2025.

Our institution does not sponsor visas. International medical graduates must obtain ECFMG certification and be eligible for a Texas Physician-in-Training (PIT) permit.
