General Surgery Residency

The General Surgery Residency Program at TriHealth-Good Samaritan Hospital has a PGY2 categorial position available anticipated to start January 2026.

The General Surgery Program at TriHealth-Good Samaritan Hospital is a five-year ACGME-accredited Surgery residency program located in Cincinnati, OH. Our residents learn to care for patients at affiliated hospitals which include academic hospitals, a regional trauma center, a freestanding children’s hospital, and community-based hospitals.

The services at each hospital range from multidisciplinary teams to individual residents with specific surgical attendings. We provide ample educational opportunities for a resident who wants to learn in diverse settings and treat a diverse population.

Prerequisites:

Applicants should have completed a PGY1 year and currently be an active PGY2 (with at least 5 months at the PGY2 level) or higher level at an active ACGME-accredited program to be considered for this PGY2 categorical position.

VISA Status

  • VISA status for international medical graduates must fall within the following categories:
  • Eligible to seek J-1 visa
  • Permanent resident or alien status (i.e. Green Card)

Applications will be accepted through December 10, 2025. Only complete applications containing all required documents listed above will be considered/reviewed. Selected applicants will be invited for a virtual interview with program leadership. The tentative dates for interviews will be held December 18 and December 19, 2025.
