General Surgery Residency-Categorical Position
The General Surgery Program at Saint Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a five-year ACGME-accredited Surgery Residency Program, is currently recruiting for a PGY-4 categorical resident.
Prerequisites:
- Applicant must have completed an ACGME accredited general surgery residency program PGY-3 year by June 23, 2025.
- Must be fluent in Spanish
How To apply:
Qualified applicants must submit the following documents:
- ERAS application or equivalent including:
- Current Curriculum Vitae (CV),
- Brief Personal Statement, Medical School diploma and transcript,
- Deans Letter (MSPE),
- USMLE Steps 1, 2 & 3 Reports,
- Three (3) Letters of Recommendations, including letter from current program director
- Rotation schedule from PGY-1, PGY-2 & PGY 3
- Current ACGME case log
- ACGME Milestone summaries from PGY-1, PGY-2 & PGY 3 (*if possible, though this will be required upon transfer if accepted into the position)
- All ABSITE Scores from PGY-1, PGY-2 & PGY 3
- Current ATLS, BLS, ACLS certifications
- ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
