General Surgery Residency-Categorical Position
The University of Toledo has an opening in a PGY4 categorical position due to a resident spending an extra year in research.
Prerequisites:
Applicants must have successfully completed three years of surgery training including one at the PGY3 level in no more than 2 ACGME accredited programs by the start date but not more than three years prior.

- Letter of interest or personal statement (no more than 1 page, please)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Three letters of recommendation, must include one from most recent program director stating good standing
- US citizenship, green card, or visa status, with ECFMG Certification, if applicable
- Medical School Transcript and Dean’s Letter
- Medical School Diploma
- ABSITE reports for all years taken
- USMLE Transcript (Steps 1, 2 & 3) and/or COMLEX Equivalent
- FLS and FES certificates, if available
- Rotation schedule for all clinical years
- ACGME case logs – please include “general surgery defined category and minimum” and “general surgery year 2 minimum”
- ACGME milestones evaluations for all clinical years
