General Surgery Residency-Categorical Position
The General Surgery Residency program at the University of Virginia has an available position for a Categorical PGY3 to begin on 7/1/2025.
Prerequisites:
Qualified applicants will have successfully completed their PGY 1 and 2 year by June 30, 2025 and be in good standing at their current program.

Interested applicants should submit the following documents for consideration:
- Letter of Interest
- Current CV
- Medical School Transcript
- USMLE Transcript Steps 1 and 2 (3 if available)
- List of Completed rotations
- Two letters of recommendation
- Letter from the current program director.
- ABSITE Scores
- Operative log from ACGME
- International Medical School graduates should submit ECFMG Certificate. This program sponsors the J1 visa, only.
- All documents must be sent in one PDF document.
