General Surgery Residency-Preliminary PGY-2 Position
Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Newark, NJ, is seeking to fill a PGY-2 Preliminary resident position in General Surgery beginning July 1, 2025.
Prerequisites:
Applicant must have completed, in good standing, an ACGME accredited general surgery residency program PGY-1 year by July 1, 2025. Applicant should be no more than 3 years out from completion of Medical School.

- Three Current Letters of Recommendation – including 1 from current/most recent Residency Program Director
- Summative Competency-based evaluation completed by Program Director
- ACGME Milestone Evaluation(s) for current and previous academic years
- Copy of Medical School Diploma
- ECFMG certificate if applicable
- Current Defined Category Case Log Report
- Only J-1 visas accepted, no exceptions
