General Surgical Residency
The Yale General Surgical Residency seeks to fill a categorical PGY-3 position to start June 2025. Anticipated graduation with the class of 2028. The Yale Department of Surgery seeks to train future leaders in academic surgery with a special interest in developing surgeon-scientists, surgeon-educators, and public policy leaders.
Prerequisites:
- Applicants should be no more than 2 years out of surgical training.
- At least 2 year of US clinical general surgery training is required in an ACGME accredited program, with documentation of good standing in the program.
- Successful completion of PGY1 and PGY2 years are required.
- All qualified candidates will be considered.
Foreign medical graduates must have a current valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter (PTAL) confirming completion of pre-residency requirements.
