Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery Research Fellowship

Drs. Mark Cohen, John Fernandez, Robert Wysocki, and Xavier Simcock comprise the Hand & Upper Extremity Division at Rush University Medical Center/Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. They are academic orthopedic surgeons specializing in care of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Our division has unique expertise in management of elbow pathology from simple to complex, with more robust elbow clinical and research programs than most programs in the country.

Prerequisites:

US medical students between M2/M3 or M3/M4 who are interested in orthopedic surgery are most strongly considered. Unmatched medical students and students applying to medical school may also be considered.

  • Earliest available start date (May-June 2026)
  • Letters of recommendation from any research or orthopedic experiences are welcome but not required
