Independent Plastics Surgery Residency

The University of Arizona Division of Plastic Surgery has two openings for first year (PGY-6) positions in its three-year Independent Plastic Surgery Residency Program that has received initial accreditation. The positions are effective July 1, 2026.

Prerequisites:

Candidates must be eligible for our program under the rules outlined in the current America Board of Plastic Surgery Booklet of Information (https://abplasticsurgery.org/residents/training-requirements), as they will need to obtain ABPS approval.

Applicants must complete five progressive years of clinical general surgery residency training, sufficient to qualify for certification by the American Board of Surgery or approved alternate subspecialty pathway.

  1. Letter of Intent
  2. Curriculum Vitae including preferred email and cell phone contact information
  3. In-Service scores during training
  4. Three letters of recommendation (one from the Program Director or Chair), submitted directly to the email address below by the writer or their administrative assistant.
  5. Citizenship or Visa Status
