International Research Fellowship
This program offers a comprehensive clinical and laboratory research fellowship based at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. It is specifically designed for non-U.S. physicians (IMGs) seeking in-depth training in trauma, emergency surgery, surgical critical care, and related fields.
Prerequisites:
- Non-U.S. Medical Degree: Applicants must possess a medical degree (M.D. or equivalent) obtained outside the United States.
- English Proficiency: Demonstrated fluency in both written and spoken English is required.
- Program Commitment: A minimum commitment of two years is necessary for participation in the fellowship.
- USMLE Scores: While not mandatory, strong United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores are preferred.
- Funding: Funding for the first year is typically self-sponsored; however, limited internal funding opportunities may be available for the second year.
