Interventional Radiology Residency

The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is pleased to announce a newly available position within our Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency.

This opportunity follows a recently approved increase in our program’s resident complement. We are currently inviting applications from qualified individuals to join our expanding department. This position is intended for a resident currently in the PGY2 (R1) year and is open to transfer-eligible residents from ACGME-accredited DR or IR programs.

The transfer may be as a PGY2 (R1) this academic year or PGY3 (R2) at the start of the next academic year based on prior training and ACGME and ABR requirements.

Our program is based at a high-volume tertiary academic center with broad IR exposure, including interventional oncology, portal hypertension management, transplant hepatobiliary interventions, trauma IR, and dialysis access. We are the only Level 1 trauma center in the city of Rochester and the only liver and heart transplant center in New York State outside the NYC metro area. Residents have daily pediatric IR exposure and also rotate through a busy outpatient IR lab.
