Leidos Computational Pathology Fellowship
The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Pathology, is pleased to offer the newly established Leidos Computational Pathology Fellowship. Sponsored by Leidos, this innovative program focuses on the intersection of pathology informatics, artificial intelligence, and image analytics. This one-year fellowship is designed to train the next generation of leaders in computational pathology.
Fellows will work within the Computational Pathology and Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (CPACE) and Digital Pathology Research Center (DPRC), collaborating with nationally and globally recognized experts in clinical informatics, digital pathology computational pathology, machine learning, and computer science. They will gain hands-on experience developing, validating, and implementing AI models and algorithms, leveraging our institution’s clinical ecosystem and high-performance computing infrastructure.
In addition to AI-driven training, the fellowship covers core areas of pathology informatics, including integration of technology into information systems and workflows. Fellows will also engage with our CAP-accredited Pathology Image Analysis Laboratory, participate in operational workflows, conduct cutting edge research under faculty mentorship, and contribute to educational initiatives. The fellow will also gain exposure to industry collaborations and thereby gain experience with the innovation cycle, data sharing, intellectual property, business contracts and agreements.
