Liver Transplant Anesthesiology Fellowship
The Cedars‑Sinai Liver Transplant Anesthesiology Fellowship is a one‑year fellowship that trains anesthesiologists to become experts in the perioperative care of patients undergoing hepatobiliary surgeries and procedures. In addition to liver transplants, this fellowship provides the opportunity to participate in the anesthetic care of patients undergoing major surgical oncology procedures on the hepatobiliary, general, urological and vascular surgery services.
The Cedars‑Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center is ranked highly for outcomes (96% survival of liver transplant patients at one year) and provides an excellent training environment. More than 100 liver transplants were performed in the last year. We have a diverse and complex patient population, and fellows will have an opportunity to participate in their care at each stage of the transplant process, from the preoperative transplant evaluation to the post‑surgical intensive care.
