Musculoskeletal Radiology Imaging Fellowship
The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging Division at the University of Virginia (UVA) has unexpected fellowship availability for the academic year 2026-2027 with a start date of July 1, 2026.
The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology Fellowship in the Department of Radiology at UVA is a one-year post-graduate training fellowship program that focuses on all aspects of MSK imaging. The fellowship includes significant experience with cross sectional diagnostic imaging and a wide variety of image-guided procedures. Fellows also complete one educational project during the year with options including an educational exhibit, abstract presentation, or QA project.
Clinical responsibilities include supervised and graduated levels of unsupervised clinical work, teaching of residents, and research. Outpatient rotations will be done at the new Ivy Mountain Musculoskeletal Center. The Department provides final reads to our ED patients on a 24-7 basis with overnight coverage being provided by our fellows on an optional rotating basis. Overnight work can be performed from home, and includes subspecialty attending back-up as needed. This program bolsters income in a comfortable environment, while promoting the maintenance and further development of general radiology skills in preparation for boards and practice.
