Obesity Medicine/Bariatric Endoscopy Fellowship
As gastroenterologists become more active in the care of patients with obesity, fellowship programs must provide subspecialty training that offers the medical knowledge and procedural skills that are essential to the practice of comprehensive Obesity Medicine. Gastroenterologists specializing in Obesity Medicine and Bariatric Endoscopy require not just mastery of endoscopic techniques but must also possess an in-depth knowledge of other treatment modalities including lifestyle interventions, as well as pharmacotherapeutic and surgical treatments for obesity.
The combined Obesity Medicine/Bariatric Endoscopy Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine is the first fellowship program to offer this unique hybrid training. Our Advanced Endoscopy Program is second to none in its expertise and innovation in advanced endoscopic procedures. Our Comprehensive Weight Control Center are nationally recognized as leaders in the field of obesity medicine.
