Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at LSU Health New Orleans is accepting applications for a PGY-2 position that will be available starting July 1, 2025.
Prerequisites:
Eligible applicants must currently be in good standing at an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency program. Successful completion of 12 months of training in OBGYN by June 30, 2025 is a requirement to apply.

Cover letter including reason for leaving your current program and interest in continuing your training at LSU Health New Orleans Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program
- Current CV
- Copy of medical school diploma
- ERAS application (personal statement and MSPE must be included)
- USMLE Step 1& 2 scores, Step 3 score (if applicable) or COMLEX equivalent
- CREOG scores for PGY-1 year
- Up to date ACGME Case Logs
- A letter from your Program Director that includes the following:
- Verification of all rotations completed to date
- Statement of your standing in the program
- Summative competency-based performance evaluation
- Willingness to release you from your current training contract
- Willingness of your Program Director to communicate with LSU
- Most recent ACGME Milestone evaluation
- Most recent semi-annual summary
- Two letters of recommendation from attending physicians in your current program
