Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program is currently accepting applications for a PGY-3 categorical resident position for the 2025–2026 academic year. The anticipated start date will be determined based on the selected candidate’s availability.

Prerequisites:

Applicants must:

  • Be in good academic and professional standing at an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program
  • Have successfully completed two years (24 months) of postgraduate training in an ACGME-accredited categorical OB/GYN residency program by the start date

  1. Cover letter including:
    1. Reason for seeking transfer
    2. Explanation for departure from current program
    3. Why you are interested in joining our program
  2. Current CV
  3. Complete ERAS application (including personal statement, USMLE/COMLEX scores, and MSPE)
  4. USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3 and/or COMLEX Level 1, 2, and 3 report
  5. CREOG score reports for PGY-1 and PGY-2 years
  6. Letter of Good Standing from current Program Director
  7. Statement from Program Director confirming willingness to release you from your current training contract
  8. List of completed rotations to date (on official letterhead)
  9. Most recent milestone evaluations (2024–2025 academic year)
  10. Most recent summative or end-of-year evaluation
  11. At least one letter of recommendation from a current supervising faculty member (not the Program Director)
  12. Copy of medical school diploma
  13. Up-to-date ACGME case/procedure logs
  14. Current work authorization status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, visa holder, etc.)
  15. ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
