Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency

Due to the recent ACGME approval of a rural track our program is seeking a qualified future team member as PGY-1. The intended start date is July 1, 2025. The rural site is Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia. Over fifty percent of the training over 4 years will be at the rural site.

Prerequisites:

All applicants must have successfully passed USMLE Step Examinations 1 & 2 (CS & CK). Osteopathic candidates are required to have met the same standard for the COMLEX I & II examinations.

  • A cover letter to include the reasons for interest in a rural training environment and plans for practice in a rural setting. If you have a rural commitment (i.e., Nathan Deal Scholarship) please include that in the statement. If you are transferring from another program, please address reasons for transferring to a rural track program
  • A copy of your complete ResidencyCAS application from your PGY-1 application, which should include your personal statement, MSPE, final medical school transcript, letters of recommendation
  • USMLE and/or COMLEX scores and score reports
  • ECFMG certificate (if applicable) If transferring from another residency program, please include:
  • Two letters of recommendation from faculty members in addition to the ResidencyCAS application recommendation letters
  • Letter of good standing from your current Program Director with verification of your current level of training, documentation of any leaves of absence, non-promotion, remediation or probation, and willingness to release you from your current training contract
  • CREOG Score reports from all PGYs
  • Completed rotation schedule/block diagram with dates
  • Complete Case log report (by minimums- for role as “surgeon” and “teaching assistant” only); include additional detailed report of circumcisions performed.
  • Most recent Milestone evaluations report
  • Current CV
  • Status of scholarly activity (if completed, submit copy of completed paper and/or presentation)
  • FLS/EMIGS certificate (or status)
  • Family Planning rotation status (completion of requirement or “opt-out” form with documentation of Family Planning curriculum)
