Orthopaedic Research Fellowship

Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center invites ambitious individuals, including rising fourth-year medical students, matriculated medical students, and those in previous research positions with an interest in orthopaedic surgery to apply for a paid one-year clinical research fellowship starting Summer 2025. Please apply ASAP for consideration as we are actively reviewing applications.

Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center dedicated to providing excellent care for patients and top-tier education for its orthopaedic surgery residents. Those trained at St. Vincent’s embody a strong work ethic, develop a vast knowledge base, receive extensive exposure to orthopaedic pathology, and cultivate a myriad of technical skills. As the orthopaedic research fellow, you would work very closely with residents and faculty on a daily basis and you are welcome to join the team for daily morning didactics.

Research fellows have the freedom to work with attendings whose interests align with their own, and work with a diverse group of orthopaedic surgeon subspecialists. Applicants are required to have a very strong work ethic, excellent organization skills, as well as immense self-discipline and self-motivation. A strong interest in pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery is also necessary. Those with previous publications in medical literature, or experience in roles related to research coordination would be preferred, although these are not pre-requisites.
