Orthopaedic Surgery Residency
The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA, is accepting applications for a PGY-2 position within its five-year categorical residency program. The anticipated start date for this position is October 1, 2025.
Prerequisites:
- Qualified applicants must be in good academic standing in an ACGME accredited program and will have completed their PGY-1 year in surgical or orthopaedic surgery by June 30, 2025.
- Must have trained in the United States and currently attending an ACGME accredited program
- Successfully completed a PGY-1 year with 3 months of surgical rotations and 6 months of orthopaedic surgery
- No professionalism or academic citations or concerns

- Copy of medical school transcript
- Personal statement including reason for leaving current program
- ACGME operative case log to date
- Training verification letter from current Program Director
- Copy of In-Training Exam scores
- Milestone evaluation summaries
- At least one letter of recommendation from an Orthopaedic Surgery faculty member.
- (Preferred) Letter of recommendation from Orthopaedic Surgery Program Director or Department Chairman at current institution.
