Pediatric Residency
The Pediatric Residency Program at the University of California, Davis Health System is currently recruiting for one (1) PGY-2 resident, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
We are an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program with 43 pediatric residents, located in Sacramento, the capitol of California. UC Davis serves a diverse population covering a large geographic area extending through Northern California, Western Nevada and Southern Oregon.
We are an innovative program whose mission is to train outstanding pediatricians who will serve as leaders in their communities and their profession. We realize that every resident is unique and look forward to working with you to tailor your residency experience to help prepare you for your future career goals, whether in general pediatrics, academic pediatrics, or subspecialty pediatrics. Our program utilizes X+Y scheduling.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of PGY1 year in an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program prior to start date.

Interested candidates should email hs-pedsresidency@ucdavis.edu the following:
- Letter of Interest stating your reasons for leaving your current program and interest in the UC Davis pediatric residency program.
- CV
- 3 Letters of Recommendation. One letter must be from your current (or most recent) Program Director, which verifies you are a pediatric PGY1 in good standing, you are expected to complete 12 months of training by June 30, 2025, and you have the support of your current Program Director to apply for this position. The letter should include a list of your completed rotations (and scheduled rotations through June 30, 2025) and summative Milestone evaluations.

- CFMG certificate (if applicable)
- MSPE
All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis as of 7/1/2025. We sponsor J1 visas. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
