Pediatric Residency

We have an opening for a PGY3 position in the University of California Davis Pediatric Residency Program, to start 7/1/2025.

We are an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program with 43 pediatric residents, located in Sacramento, the capitol of California. UC Davis serves a diverse population covering a large geographic area extending through Northern California, Western Nevada and Southern Oregon.

We are an innovative program whose mission is to train outstanding pediatricians who will serve as leaders in their communities and their profession. We realize that every resident is unique and look forward to working with you to tailor your residency experience to help prepare you for your future career goals, whether in general pediatrics, academic pediatrics, or subspecialty pediatrics. Our program utilizes X+Y scheduling.

  1. Letter of Interest stating your reasons for leaving your current program and interest in the UC Davis pediatric residency program
  2. CV
  3. 3 Letters of Recommendation. One letter must be from your current (or most recent) Program Director, which verifies you are a pediatric PGY2 in good standing, you are expected to complete 24 months of training by June 30, 2025, and you have the support of your current Program Director to apply for this position. The letter should include a list of your completed rotations (and scheduled rotations through June 30, 2025) and summative Milestone evaluations.
  4. USMLE or COMLEX transcript
  5. ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
  6. MSPE

All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis as of 7/1/2025. We sponsor J1 visas. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
