Pediatrics Residency
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate PGY-1 (Postgraduate Year 1) Pediatric Resident to join our well-established pediatric residency program. This position is available due to an additional open position, and it will provide a first-year resident the opportunity to develop clinical skills in a supportive, dynamic, and diverse learning environment. The PGY-1 Pediatric Resident will work closely with faculty, senior residents, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
The New York Medical College Pediatrics Residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center has been training pediatricians for over 50 years, many of whom have stayed on to join our experienced faculty. Our aim is for our graduates to be lifelong learners, teachers, leaders and advocates for children of our region and around the world.
Each resident receives robust training in General Pediatrics and is given the opportunity to develop an individualized curriculum that aligns with the desired career path. Pediatric subspecialty rotations enable our learners to participate as team members in the care of patients with chronic and complex disorders. Residents are given abundant opportunities to work with other members of the health care team in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings to allow them to become leaders skilled in the organization and management of patient care.
